You might want to let everyone know your cams duration. Its a crazy cam mate!

i wish i could mate...

i dont the little verneier calliper test to measure the lift and its like 11.5mm

but i could not tell you degrees...

over 300 i would guess as its hell of a lumpy.../

dougstar! i got a golf afm.. but little confuzzled with it so i've left it at the mo lol!...

apart fae that.... on the road in month or so !!!!

See, I read about the lift of your cam on another post somewhere and was just confused that you aren't having valve + piston interface...

Did you just drop the cam in or did you buy it with the head/engine? A vernier is always a good idea with an aftermarket cam as well.

wouldnt fit a high lift one without one.

if the duration is over 276 you may need your pistons machining like yoof had to do on his

bedrock veedubs had it in I'm sure...

i just bought the whole setup off the boy...

thinkin the pistons have been machined!..

no other explanation..

coz an vw specialist says i wont need to bother if its shrick or so on...

so erm.... i know its gonna cost £100 so is it worth it just for that little extra fine tuning ?!

i would get one, becasue you won't want to be having it at stanard timing on the road just normal driving if it's over 300deg...

thing is, with a vernier you can get the cam dialled in to your own taste by someone who knows what their doing on a rolling road. i always have mine setup for low down grunt

Anything over 300 cam dont you have to have an idle speed of about 1500rpm? and loads of base ignition advance?

I'm taking to get it on the RR and get it looked at...

the dizzy is turned right back? thats the only way it runs fine..

I'm going to see what my bhp is and then check the fueling throughout the rev range

and if its not looking good then ill get a vernier..

the man said that buying one i would just being retarding the cam... coz that you find will be suited???

anywhoo... il see how it goes..

might have to get a re-map to suit the cam ..
