Mark3: Loss of power to interior light, cig lighter and radio.

Featured Replies

I've had this problem on and off now since my engine conversion last August, only in the last 2 months its gotten progressively worse.

At first I thought it was associated with the weather, ie if it had been raing a lot there might have been damp somewhere causing the problem, but that doesn't appear to be the case any more.

I've checked the fuse box for blown fuses and everything seems in order there. There has been the odd occassion where rotating the fuses 180 degrees or so seems somehow to cure the problem. I have checked and cleaned the contacts in the fusebox too.

I'm wondering whether it might be as well to change fuse boxes, and if I do, do I have to use a GT fuse box or are they non-specific?

Thanks.

Karl.

check the connection in and out of the fuse box! but does sound like it's a loose connection somewhere around the fuse box!
