Right bit hard to explain but the doors on my car only open to full, dont seem to have the part that stops it like half way, if you know what i mean. does anyone know what this part is called and where i can get one, and if its easy to fix?

The part you're looking for is sometimes referred to as a check strap. If you can find a mk4 in the scrapyard, then your best bet is just to unbolt the whole assembly for this from that and reinstall it in your door.
