I did very little prep to be honest, i sorted the minor rust spots on the lower doors and front wing.

I washed the car with about half a bucket of water with shedloads of fairy liquid, its a degreaser, worked very well,

once i dried the car i use a new autoglym polishing cloth to clear up any marks and grit, then just painted it.

Regards to cleaning it, OMG, dont do it in the sun FFS, and be ready with a towel to dry the car once youve washed it

or you get water marks gallor lol.

looks a very good finish mate, well done!

nice mattig's in the for sale bit. looks gd by the way!

Its easier when you start off with a black car cause you just rub it down till it goes matte

white wellers would look nuts on that.

spray the wheel trims white for now...

sweet job mate you should black out the rear light she would look sweet as

must be a bugger to clean

alex

stll cant decide if i like all matt black or not

yours looks good though

how much is it lowered by?

Been looking at wellers but cant get the right hub bore, i love it that colour and cleaning it is easy but you must dry if off to stop water marks ect.

It lowered 60/40 but could do with some -60 on the rear instead of -40 IMO.

my mate has got a matt black caddy and that looks nice, quite like your polo too

I was thinking of going matte. BUT can you use wax on it and not ruin the finish, I know you can't use polish cos of the cutting compounds in it.

I wouldnt of thought so, ill just wash mine in fairly liquid all the time, hear it makes normal paint go dull. seems good for matt black.
