Insurance....Can i cancel on awaiting a claim???

Featured Replies

Right as some of you know some bastards stole my GT just over a month ago which i had for 2 weeks...now i payed the initial deposit of £150 when i got the car and since then they have taken a monthly payment out of my account.

So i'm wondering as they still havn't payed out yet can i cancel my insurance and will they still pay out or do i wait until they do...as it's like £70 a month....

Any help appreciated.....

I'm not entirely sure, but are thye police properly involved cause with out causing offence, they may say it seems suspect, owning a car for 2 weeks and having it burnt out and claiming?

I'm not implying you did it at all  I'm not saying that at all!

Not normally no, iirc.

They take the remainder of your premium out of your settlement.

The premium was £850 i think...car was worth £600 so once i get the money i can cancel then....think i have £100 excess so that will go straight away....
