I've been looking at options for air filters for the G40. I quite like the look of the Jabbasport filter and heat sheild. Whilst obviously "modified" in appearence it looks to be of a high quality and sits really well when fiited. Does anyone have one, if so what are your impressions of it? It is quite an expensive item and I may be tempted to look at other options.

Does what it says on the tin. Lets more air into the charger and obviously shields the inlet form heat from the engine. £120 ish I believe, not too bad Id say considering a K+N 57i kit is 80ish on its own!!!! Looks the tits in the engine bays though!!!!

I've had one for 3 years, well worth it in my opinion.

Make your own for less. I made one from galv sheet steel (not bothered about the bling so long as it rust proof) and a PSD induction kit.

Nick do you have a picture of the PSD induction kit? Does it come with a metal collar for the charger etc. as well?

I'm not particularly worried about the bling either, if anything I'd get it powdercoated/sprayed gloss black on the inside walls.

Edit: Had a look on the PSD site...prices would be approaching the Jabba kit if I were to buy the filter, collar etc. from PSD.

People seem to like the Jabba one which is good. I was contemplating trying to do a SWG style twin inlet...perhaps in future though.

i think they look really nice the jabba sport ones util they begin to collapse and look a bit tired.

Yeah the PSD one comes with an inlet coller anodised the same colour as my toothed pullies. They also come with a HUGE K&N filter rather than the Jetex which the Jabba one has.

Could I trouble you for a picture if you have one to hand Nick? If not no worries.

Edit: Appears Alex has one...least important factor but I do prefer the colour haha!

You can locate them in between the front wheel arch using the hole for the charcoal canistor.

I have seen someone using PSD's K&N filter with a Jabba Sport heatshield.
