just wondering how much work it is to remove the pastic trim on a gt shell? is it worth it? or is there tonnes of rivet holes left?

easy to do.. just need a drill.

The arches are riveted on on the underside of the arch.. Holes are left obviously, BUT the holes are there on all MK3 shells anyway (my 1.0 had them!)

The side strips SHOULD be glued on, but I have seen some riveted on in places, probably a repair by previous owners.

The sill splats are rivited (plastic rivets??) on so you will have holes on the bottom of your car. Bit not verry big tho.
