1.0L ECU in 1.3

Featured Replies

K basically I've realised after fitting a chip that I was running with a 1.0L spi ECU in my 1.3 SPI.

Now its all changed back to what it should be, but what I wanna know is will using the 1.0L ECU have made a difference to performance/fuel economy?!

Probably underfuelling it a bit, but then the lambda should compensate. You might well have a lack of performance, but I'd have thought fuel economy could have been slightly better perhaps. Not ideal though, if the lambda doesn't compensate as you could well have been running dangerously lean.

hmm

well it seems to have been running okay, will just have to see how the proper ECU goes.lol

Just one other thing, idle doesn't seem to be that good, as in a bit rough and will eventually cut out. Could there be anything causing this?

Blue temp is fine, as far as I know, timing is okay, lambda is okay, have induction kit with no hot air feed and have taken off the coal canister therefore petrol tank breather to throttle body, there are also no leaks with that or inlet manifold.

Anything else could be wrong?
