Just a quikie,

Hoping I've remembered the EVO model code correctly I've got a question on the rear shocks.

It LOOKS like i can remove the clip under the spring platform and lower the car more. Its got grooves for the clip to be fitted

lower down but i can tell if the clip is removable or not. If i do remove it and try and refit lower down, will i knacker it.

I've got the same kit and the same question

Just to confirm its

STVW03 H or I its really poorly stamped on the rear shocks.

I don't know for sure but would imagine so. A lot of kits for the 2F allow height adjustment at the rear.

RIGHT I've FOUND OUT THEY ARE AJUSTABLE

BUT HOW DO THEY AJUST :(

Pull out the clip and drop the spring platform

what clip are you talking about mate

there are groves on the rear shock and a a circle clip that has a slight grove in it.

Best way i've found is to prize them open with long nose plyers and use a small flat blade screwdriver to push the clip into a higher slot or lower slot

Its a little bit fidly but once you get a method its easy enough, one slot at at time is the way.

Yes they are adjustable, I've lowered mine 20mm more at the back.

I just used a flat blade screw driver and push them out.

Need help FAST, failed MOT on the rear shocks leaking, was that due to me lowering it again..

There only 6 months old and I've only got till thursday to fix them or ill have to pay for the MOT all over again.

i couldn't help you honestly but i find it hard to believe its due to you moving the car down some notches.

unless you've been giving a bit stick and raggin the suspension???

The cars failed the MOT twice now, ones on brake lines and today was supposed to be the pass day, but they mentioned the leaks.

I know the guys at the garage and they are shocked that in 2 working days the shocks have gone.

Car has no MOT or TAX, i dont drive it unless its to the garage and back. Its only been driven 6 miles maximum since lowering again, and thats

around 45-50mph due to massive toe, as i fitted the wrong length OS ball joint/arm but thats another story. lol

givin you time to look see what the problem is with the rears...

also if my memory serves me correct then its a two year guarantee ??

they were on the car when i got it, owner replace the whole suspension as the originals were knackered,

it was a simular cost for a whole kit rather than a pair from VW,

oh...

well maby the guy afor you ragged it ??

only option i can suggest is nipping to your local breaker yard and get a standard set...
