i dont want speakers on show in my car i dont like them but i want better speakers than my standard one in the dash !

where can i buy better replacements as they are crap and want better

all help appreciated !

my mk2 doesnt have a speaker in the dash? modify the current rear speaker shelving to run two compnent speakers each side. i will get round to it one day when i finally get paid.

4x6 is the rear speaker size, you can pick loads up.. just try google. audio bahn do some nice ones at about 200watt.

But yeah, mk2's dont have front speakers??

i didnt say there was one in there, i just naturally assumed it was designed for one. think i may of read something wrong in the past. but it does have an oval shape cut

but then i've yet to use the heater.

It's a 5x3. Only the top-specced cars (CL's, Coupe S's, etc) had them. I took mine out because it fell apart when I hooked it up for what looked like the first time in 20 years.

its 6x4 upfront and i have it to in the ranger

Mine was a 5 x 3, a 6 x 4 wouldn't fit in there.

well i had one of the speaker i now hav in the rear in there so unless i bought 5x3 that were labled as 6x4s cos i did break bits on the rear to make it fit but I'm quite sure they are JBL gto 6x4 i think owell

Well fuck me!!! You were right!! I've had 2 mk2's and loads of my mates had them and never had a speaker! I always assumed it was a gay air vent!!

they are 6x4, but try not to get a speaker that has a tweeter bit in the middle that sticks up, cos then the cover wont fit on that well.
