6n glove box

Featured Replies

Alright guys.

The glove box on my 6n has a fualty lock.

I went to open it the other day after locking it the previous night.

I put in my key and it just went round n round n the lock wudnt open up, so i had to force the glove box open and basically brake the lock lol....wich may i add, was worryingly easy!

Any gay, what i wanted to know is:

1.

If i get hold of another locking glove box from a 6n, will my exisitng key work in that lock? (i dont think it will)

2.

does anyone had a glove box for sale? with or without lock?

Cheers

Hi...I had same problem with a dodgy lock...i swapped mine over with the one from the fuse box cover beneath the steering wheel...went to the breakers and took the same lock from a mk 2 golf glove box and put that on the fuse cover...it dont lock the fuse box but the glove box now locks again....took me 10 minutes to do the change over.

Hope this helps

cheers for that mate, il pop down to my local when i get a chance.

I pulled it back, got my fingers and just pulled it till sumthing in the lock snapped mate.

And yeh it does now just hang down, but my car is uninsured so its sitting on the driveway on bricks so its not a problem.
