Pollie 58mm dont make miracles.... but destroy a G Compressor... Is only pressure and sound, nothing more.

Looks quick...difficult to know how quick as your speed reads in km/h....but at least 100 = 60mph and 240 = 160mph so I can roughly guess.

I still think your micro-pullies are crazy :lol:

difficult to tell the diference cos my speedo has been precisely tuned to tell real speed and i can't watch the speed growing in mine while driving as don't want to die this young :-D

G40 portugal club has a thread just with vids of the idlings of our cars, so i did one myself too... first start in the morning cold

i have no idle valve, but when the engine warms up it stables at the 900rpm :-)

hi could i ask a question. in the uk g40 owners only tend to runn a 65mm pully or the very brave runa 63mm so how on earth do you manage to run a 58mm pully i would of thought that you would just blow all the seals in the charger? could you tell me how you manage to run that small a pully?

i explained it in the other page ;)

with the oil pressure regulator i can have very little oil pressure going to the compressor shaft (about 0.2bar idle and 0.6bar at 7000rpm) and so the oil seals dont have much work to deal with :)

of course eventually if they aren't good enough, they tend to let some oil pass... but with this system and good oil seals, theres nothing to worry about even at higher rpms 8-) at least from the sealings :-D

and as i said, theres more people here running even smaller pulleys like 55mm ones, doing even more pressure than i do ;)

where do you get these pullys from ? is their a web site ?

A nice bit of double clutching in the vids, i need to learn how to do it quickly! Car hasnt been on the road long enough to get proper practice!

I thought i was mad running 22psi but yours is crazy, especially as there are people with smaller pullys!

Have a lot of respect for you guys trying new things¬ if it works then fair play!

where do you get these pullys from ? is their a web site ?

i've had it done by a friend of mine that owns a cnc... anyone with a cnc can do them with any diameter that u wish quite easy just by looking to the original pulley :)

the double clutching was one of the first things that i learned after having my license 3 years ago, but with stock pedals you have to work hard to get it right... I'm so used to do it that after a while i started to do it on regular driving :)

there are a lot of people here with turbos running more than 2bar pressure, so, if their engines hang on with stock internals, i think there isnt any problem with running 1.5bar in an everyday ride :thumbsup:

the most outrageous pressure I've seen on a G40 with G compressor was 1.7bar, with 55mm G60-like pulley :)
