firstly does that size exist

i cant seem to find that size anywhere

just purchased some new wheels

but i want low profile tires on em

there 14x6

can anyone help me out?

I believe the smallest profile you can get on 14s is a 45. I know Toyo do a 195/45,they're about 75 a corner

They'd be a bit 'balloony' but I think they'd fit. I have 185/50 on my p-slots (14x6) on the loon, can get you a piccy tomoro if you want

cos there going on a mk2 boxback which is being lowerd

so it will be pretty tight on the rear

For the squareback I'd be more concerned about the width than the profile. Go for 165/50 or 175/50

I had no problems with the rear arches on my square back with standard arches, 6-14 ET 38 and 195/45-14

That's good to know. I'm considering either 185/50 or 195/45s on a 14x6 wheel on my squareback. It'll be dropped just 40mm eventually so I'll probably need the arches rolled or not?

some shells are better than others for the rear arches, I've had a few that wouldn't take 6x14 et38 without scrubbing. My last GT would not take 175/60/13 on 5.5x13 ET38s without scrubbing occasionally. Its a case of fitting them and seeing what your car's like. Can't be any more accurate than that I'm afraid.

i have 155 55 14's on my 6j rims and it looks really nice, slight stretch too if your worried about arches catching

165x55x14 on a 6x14 are great for a breadvan. Tidy stretch,low profile,almost standard gearing/speedometer and worry free clearance.

Deex, would you mind taking afew photos of you tyres mate. i.e showing the stretch etc etc

What offset are the wheels? I had ET30 with 175/50/13 on a 13x6 rim and it rubbed like a big bastard, had to roll the arches to get clearance or else the top of the arch would just sit on the tyre when you lowered it off the jack.

the wheels are 14x6 et 38

Here's pics with 155/55 14" on a 6" wheel, pic2, on the car. My Polo has 60mm drop, rear has 20mm/side spacers and arches are not rolled and no rubbing issues..but it's a saloon. Wheel et is 38, so now it's 18 at the rear.

yep, that's the size I had on mine. Shame there's not too many makes of tyre in this size. Out of what's available the Hankook ventus are the ones to go for.

the 155,55,14 looks brilliant. The bird eye view shows its has a slight stretch unlike a 195,45.
