Coilovers Or shocks and springs

Featured Replies

I have a 6n 16v and want to lower it. Basicaly I want to drive it with no scrubbing and I want it to handle well and not be stupidly harsh.

I am thinking Ill gor for 60mm front and back so I dont get any rubbing.

Now here is the big Q I dont want to spend a fourtune and have been thinking of the Phil J kits what would the ride and handling be like on the shocks and springs compared to the philj coilovers, also are there any advantages of the coilovers over the shocks and springs other than the adjustability.

Also I wont ever changed the height as I dont want it lower than 60mm if that helps

I would always say spend more money on better quality springs and shocks than budget coilovers.

can you recomend a half decent set

I wouldn't get anything cheaper than FK stuff personally. Koni, H&R, weitek or KW kits all spring to mind as good ones.

i had GAZ shocks with ebach springs not cheap but much better than the g max coilovers i got now
