Some scuzzy idiot decided to snap the aerial on my Mk3

I'm thinking it'd be pretty cool (and idiot proof) to have an electric aerial!

I know the apperture is itsy bitsy so I was wondering if anyone knows if a suitable leccy aerial is out there anywhere?

Will it fit in the small hole? Does anyone know if there's enough room in the wing?

there is loads of room in the wing but just as you get to the top it gets pretty narrow.

only way to really tell if it fits is to try.

Yes.. You can buy them. Generic ones fit, or should fit. VW sell them. My old MK2 coupe S had one (was an ex demo so came with loads of extra's)

Should fit to one of the wires in the back of the stereo? There are x2 spare connections iirc? I'll check which one it is!

i had one from euro on my gt - plenty of room. Although they are well long!

Would be interested to know if VW can supply one and what the part no. and price is. Keep us posted on this one.
