Can someone pleez pleez pleez tell me wots the lowest profile tyre for a 15'' wheel.Want to lower my 6n 40mm without having to do arch work.At the Moment running 175/50/15 and scrubbing ever so slighty on front at standard ride height?

Where is it scrubbing? Arch or suspension? You must have a really bad offset if you are scrubbing on 175/50 15s...

You should get away with 195/45s no problem, and 175/50s are the same diameter.

The offset would be good. The width of the wheel would be an even better start,though..

its scrubing on the back of the arch.closest to the doors.Any ideas on what to do?

What offset are the wheels? Is it when you have a lot of steering lock on, or when you get body roll, or braking, what? You might be able to pull the arch liner out. TBH you just plain shouldn't be getting scrubbing on those wheels, regardless of offset (within sensible parameters anyway).

Its when I'm on full lock.well a little before full.just before the steering wheel stops.I've got g60 steelies on my polo 6n so dont no what offset they are or anything.cos of this scrubbing i presumed ill need a lower profile tyre if I'm lowering it.Ill try an get a picture of were its scrubbing and put it up
