Just wondering which engines fit into the mk4's

as the highest hp one is only 125, whatabout a mk3 abd (2.0 valver), mk2 valver, vr6, 1.8t etc ?

That venom guy in Perfomance Vw put an Audi s3 engine in his mk4...obviously with some modifications and alot of money though I'd imagine.

there are a possibility of ANY engine... i think a auqi tt engine could be a respectable engine... or a skoda octavia vrs engine (tahst whats in dads and i mentioned it as its 200 bhp as std)

Highest bhp engine fitted to a UK Mk4 was 100, being the 1.4 16v AFH. An ABD is a 1.4 8v engine, you might have meant abf though. The ABD will go in.

None of the engines listed are an easy swap unless you have a Mk4 saloon or estate, even then not simple. Won't go in the hatch without a lot of work, although Mk4s are easier than Mk3s for fitting tall block lumps.

ash has a modded S3 lump in his.. 330+bhp. gotta spare 10k sittin around????

To be honest though I bet a fair bit of that 10k was spent getting it up to 330bhp.

did he fit it or was it a company job? as self fitting is alot cheaper and also a s3 will bhe less power taht that as jon said just av a go an if its not going to plan get a bigger loan lol you wont regret it lol

heard the poor guy had problems with gear boxes after the engine swap? (this rumor in jealous non polo circles so dont know how true it is)
