I have the FK Konigsport coilovers and have the rear setup quite soft.

I wanted to try the next setting on the dampening but am unsure exactly how to complete this exactly the same both sides?

IIRC you had to push the damper in to the bottom which it then locates into the adjuster and then by turning the centre of the shock it adjusts the dampening? Or am I talking complete cod shit here..???

Anyone done this adjustment before and have any advise on this job?

Got the same coilies mate but never adjusted the rears, what you're saying sounds about right though. Never understood why they didn't have the little tabs like the fronts.

Cant you just stiffen it all the way, mark it and count X about of half turns till you get the desired amount.
