Hey, am new here so first off hello to everyone :-)

Recently bought a mk4 1996 polo 1.6L 5 door and have fitted a Sony CDX-GT410U

After a bit of reading on these forums a decent front setup and a sub sounds like the way to go, and just not bother with rear speakers at all?

Now initially I just want to replace the front speakers and then get a sub later on, the headunit is 4x50w although I'm not sure whether that is RMS

Really not sure where to start, combination speakers sound good but I would need an amp as well? Would be easier to just use the headunit although if adding an amp will make a huge difference I'm happy to do it. Lastly can I use the existing mounting locations for the tweeters, am wanting to keep the car as original as possible for the moment, just want to beef up the audio :)

am really not worried about the brand just spotted them as I was looking up the radio specifications

well i have had MAC audio fronts put in and a 12" inphase St sub in the boot and i think it sounds great! however the headunit you have got will run most component speakers so dont worry. however I'd advise against getting sony speakers. i have had a set and they are awful. look about and try makes such as focal/diamond audio/inphase/mac audio it all depends on the money you have got really. good system means more money.
