As the title says. My Radiator fan is on its very last legs, The bearings have gone and its sounding very. very bad.

My mates got a fan rom a 1.3 spi whihc is prectically brand new I can have for free, but its 2 pin, where as the GT is 3 pin.. anyway I can get this to work? Or Will i have to get a 3pin fan?

Ahh.. SO the reason for 3 wires.. getya..! So you can't fasten the spi fan up then? not even for the time being?

you could but i suspect the 2 wire fan is on the fast speed all the time where as the 3 wire fan will have a slower speed on its 1st setting

so the 2 wire fan will be able to be used as a stop gap just ensure you get the correct connections wired up

Yeah.. thats what I'd assume.. Or the 2 speed fan will be on the slower setting all the time?

Anyone know which one to fasten up?

could you not just swap the motor over so you still have the two speed control or swap the speed controller onto the other fan??

No, my original fan bearings have gone! Its got 3 plugs in the back of it where as the new one only has two plugs! But might be able to swap the plug/fan controls.. will look as it!
