Right folks, took the latch off the bootlid to paint it yesterday (chalkboard ), or at least me mate did while I was cleaning the car. Unbolted it and the latch fell off along with the crazy curved/ twisted bar thing that links the lock/ button to the latch.

Ad none of us can work out how the bloody thing goes back together!

Can anyone help me pleeeaaaaseeee... it doesnt seem to be in the haynes book of lies, and I dunno where else to look. Anyone know if the latches are the same as on jettas etc?

Its not broken as such, just in bits and I'm too muppetous to work out how to get it back together.

did the same too mine has anyone got any pics or anything.

i did it too, pain in the ass. i just put the lock in the boot but so i could still spin it round. then i just had to fiddle and work it out. i work at a bodyshop and none of them could do it either. patience :-D
