I recently stuck £10 of diesel into my '87 Coupe - don't ask!!!.

I syphoned as much out as I could and the car is running again but it's still misfiring a bit in low gears.

I've tried diluting any remaining diesel with loads of unleaded and stuck in redex carb cleaner and cleaned up the plugs but it's been a week.

Any advice as to solving the misfiring or will I just have to wait it out until the last traces of diesel leaves the tank??

PS are there any long term problems I might come across??

Shit thats not good, You shouldnt of started it, it can ruin the engine. I would recomend you drain all the fuel, complete flush and renew the filters. If your not capeable of doing it take it to a garage. But dont be suprised if you have to pay alot of money if there is internal damage which is a high possiblilty.

Ok update on the situation.

Car's running great again, turns out I had not refitted the vacuum hose from the air temp sensor and this was causing the rough running.

Looks like all the diesel has gone, thank God.
