Polo Gt & MK3insurance idears

Featured Replies

Right i'm 17 soon and i will be wanting to have a Polo Gt or a Polo mk3..

Tryed doing some of the leg work and looking though on things like confused.com but there usless really.. So would be good if you lot on here could give me a rough idear of what i will be paying for insurance on Polo Gt's and MK3's.

Will be a first time driver etc and the car will be standard at first but will then have a few of the usual mods rims, tints crap like that.

So if you younger drivers lot could tell me what your paying on your polo's would be really helpful.

Cheers Guys

You are just going to have to search yourself I'm affraid, insurance prices vary an awrful lot on where you live etc. try moneysupermarket.com and when you find the cheapest quotes (Best 5) go directly to those companies to safe a little more money.

try others like 'Adrian Flux' and 'Elephant' who are not on any search engines.

direct line aswell.

comparethemarket.com

is quite good aswell

Gocompare.com also

direct line aswell.

Direct line do loads of deals for young drivers ... I would tyr them .. -

try the supermarkets too, Tesco, ADSA etc... used to be pretty cheap as long as you aren't intending to do any modifications.

Ah reet well cheers guys. Gess i just have to stop being so lazy.

mine when i passed was £1600 with direct line and that was fully comp, now I'm 19, 1ncb and its £700 fully comp, direct line were the best when i first passed but as you see not cheap

other insurance companies wanted over £2k!

I'm a 19 year old bloke, no ncb ,my insurance cost me £1580 on a mk3 coupe. and thats only 3rd party.

I payed 1400 TFPT on my 1ltr for my first year. With 1 yrs ncb, it dropped to 750 fully comp despite the value of the car being 200 more.

If I were you I'd get a 1ltr runabout for the first year so noone would insure me on a GT at a sensible price in my first year depite it being garaged and living in a very low risk postcode.

I'm 23 and I pay 300 quid for my modded GT fully comp!! yay!! being older is useful for some things!

i had a mk2 breadvan when i was 18 = £680!

now i'm 27 nearly, 1yr ncb on a GT = £340 odd fully comp.

hahahha rub it in abit them mr P

errmm i got a qoete for my mk3 1ltr at 1400 and I'm 17 lolol

try ensliegh they came up cheapest for me

try ecar insurance mine is 1100 for my gt coupe (no mods) and I'm 18 with no ncb

I'm 18 and my GT just cost me £1400 tpft to insure, this is with me having just passed my test, went through adrian flux and they set me up with a company called NIG with no mods.

most companies wanted over £2000 and swinton gave me a quote of £3000 for a standard GT  they gave me a quote of £2400 on a GT with 40mm lowering, then the woman phoned me back after I told her and she got me the quote of £2400 without mods

Note: Direct line wouldn't touch me on a GT due to my age and the insurance group of the car

Also any idears what insuarance group the mk3s are in?

I'm finding group 3 if someone could confirm that would be cool.

Cheers

elephant.co.uk cheapest for me the first 2 years of driving

then direct line

then insureyourmotor.com

for a first car, at 17, i'd stick with a CL or Fox or something for a year or two... not a group 7 gt, and forget about a g40 (group 14) for a good 3-4 years

anything to get some no claims!!! lol

www.quinn-direct was the cheapest i could find mate 17yr old 0ncb but pass plus tpft they cover all body mods and ice but no performance mods it was £1200 iirc everywhere else wanted bloody 2-3k :o
