MK4 Heater Controls

Featured Replies

Are they lit at all? lol sounds a bit of a stupid question but i had the front plastic off today and couldn't see any bulbs, got the filter off though and can see how to change it ect Could i use tracing paper to get a white/plain effect then use the bulbs to get colour?

Ideally I'd like white/blue lighting as i thought there would of been 3 bulbs under the cover to just swap out for some LED's but having switched on the lights, there seems to be a hot spot in the middle, is there only one bulb? How do i get them/it out?! Can it be replaced with an LED? Like a T5 or something. :)

Thanks alot. Rob :)

Never mind lol, had a proper look tonight with the face off and lights on and its seems to be some kind of fiber optics, and the bulb behind, i really cba taking all the unit out, so ill just put in some 3MM LED's i thinks, ill get a guide up too ;)

when you unplug the heater controls you should find a piece of white plastic which need to be removed so that you can change the bulb...
