hi everyone

recently my passenger front side electric window has started to struggle going up on my mk4 polo. it does go and sometimes it goes all the way on its own but usually needs assistance. i called my local vw garage who said this was something to do with the motor cable tightening and blowing the motor, apparently costing me £280 of course i didnt pay this, and found this on ebay:

should this be all i need? I'm going to open up the door in the weekened and have a look and buy this if its whats needed. as long as its cheaper than £280!!

Hmmm its probably worth checking that the clip has snapped on the back of one of the runners. Have a look behind the door card and see if the window is actually on the runners as this seems to be the problem with slow moving windows where the motor is only pushing up one side causing it to struggle.

280 quid for fixing a window seems a tad harsh to me! lol

I've had this on both sides of my car n my drivers side still knackered

shouldnt cost anywhere near that much tho

it could be the window has come outta a clip like already mentioned as initially this what was wrong on my passenger side

in the end i needed a new regulator....got one from the scrappers n now its fine...

my drivers side just got repaired but only worked for 5 days...needs a new regulator as well
