Featured Replies

Jus got my new reg n gettin plates ordered so wondering who else has got a "G4 O_ _" plate and how its spaced and if u get away with it... obviously i want "G4O AD" need obviously i know this aint legal but how likely on an otherwise completely standard plate am i to get pulled up on it for!!! Any one reckon i should go for "G4OAD" so not space at all looks much closer to bein legal but wont luk ne where near as good!!!!!!!!!!!

G40 AD looks a bit more legal than G40OAD to me, but police will know anyway. I don't think they'll bother to be honest, as long as the lettering is normal. I think all they really care about is that it's easily readable. If you get stopped then I reckon the worst they'll do is tell you to get it sorted out, verbal warning etc...

I see loads of cars with illegally spaced number plates everyday, I don't think it's a problem really as long as the lettering is still normal.

yeah av had em made up now ne way!!! jus went for standard viynal plates wit standard legal uk font...i wanted pressed black plates with white or silver standard font....pushin it a tad too much me thinks...

well am on a time will tell now jus gotta wait n c if a get pulled...............

on my S14 i had 12x3" front plate, considering the standard plate is 23x4ish i never had any problems, but the lettering was UK standard just smaller.

fair play did think bout smaller plates today but not sure i like it when it doesnt fill the plate recess, personal pref though!!!

Dan (supercharged spaniel) has got G40 PY - try asking him.

already asked Ewan. he will get nailed for wrong spacing. i started off with german font pressed plates with. g40 py. got grief. changed to german font pressed plates with g4 opy. again got grief. now I'm running wank vinyl plates with correct font and spacing reading g4 opy. got the cool plates for shows and will be running them for polo show though.

I also have GRE608Y on my daily mk4 golf without any spacing so it reads GREGORY and i've only been stopped once and got off with a warning!! lol
