I have this thin plastice trim around my rear number plate and it looks shit. Is it ok to wrench it off and what will i find underneath!!!! Or can i get a replacement?

Thats just a stick on vinyl trim. Its common for it to crack and peel with age. You can wrench it off as you put it, but you'll be left with a sticky residue (ooow errr). Best bet it to use a hairdrier to warm the glue up first then gently peel away.

There shouldn't be anything nasty hiding underneath, though if the tailgates had a respray at some point there might be a slight variation in colour.

If you do want a replacement, Dan Knight on the forum makes reproduction items.

if you want to no how to remove the sticky residue (:paranoid::shock:) use the search function and type in removing side strips or rear badges...
