Brentacre

Featured Replies

I've been ringing round for my new Valver, thought I'd give Brentacre a ring as I've heard they're good...

Anyway I've rung em twice and both times theyve said theyll get back to me, neither times of which they ever rang me back! A little pissed off. Its the same with most of the VW/mods specialists.

Hardly any of the big insurers will touch me, I'm 19, 1 years NC, no points etc, pass plus, and none of them seem to do anything reasonable. And i live in a nice area!

I'm currently with my original company that insured the Landy on, the NFU, and thats worked out at £1700 p.a.!

What should i be expecting d'you reckon?

Have you tried HIC I had a nice chat on the phone with someone from there not so long ago. Ended up with him telling me to stick with VW when I said I was proper tempted to get a pre-facelift 106 Rallye going cheap at the time

I wouldn't say £1700 is all that high if you only have 1 years no claims, but then I've had quotes less than that for a 4.2 Jag XJ and I'm 18.

for 19 thats a pretty good quote on a 16v tbh - doubt you'd be able to find much cheaper

Meh. Oh well.

To put the icing on the cake though, my 19 year old mate with 2 YNC has just got a quote for a Corrado 16v, fully comp for £1300...! Somehow.

brentacre are usually well sound!

very personable and are enthusiasts themselves..i get my renewal through yeaterday and it was 600 quid on my valver flly comp all declared with one yrs no claims

the polo 16v seems to be a very odd car with insurers...there are bigger engine turbo cars i can insure for less

Like my 2.5 tdi for example! £800 this year!

Yeah, I'm paying about £600 to insure my tdi Disco... Well, was, until I took it off the road.
