Central locking...Need some help!

Featured Replies

Right iv fitted central locking to my mk3 polo and of course theres no loom to the door's, I've wired everything and all the solenoid's work, its just I've had to drill holes in the doors to feed the wire through, but i have a feeling the wires are just going to fray through... I was thinking bout grommets or something like that, anyone else come across this problem?

Cheers, Dan :?

go down the local breakers and look for a later style mk2 golf (about f reg on) and they have concertinered rubber tubes that carry the spreaker wires and central locking pipes through the door jam.you will have to drill quite large holes but where these rubber tubes fir on they have built in grommets to protect the wires etc, will cost you nothing and look factory......let me know how you get on....joe

Halfords sell them too!
