i paid 2k on my 1.4 8v fully comp on my own name when i was 17

scam central

Paying £800 for my 1.0... took policy out at 17. Would have been just over £1000 for a GT.

I've had a quote for a GT now at 18 for £600, these are all in my own name.

Oh, I live in Aberdeenshire...

I'm 18 but no ncb, an for a 1.4 16v tpf+t I'm gettin in at £1600,

or for like a normal 1.4 its £1400

i pay a grand for my 1.2 in my own name, havnt told them iv dun pass plus but i doubt it would make a difference, I'm with diamond

Pass plus made me a difference of £300quid....

My Mk3 Polo 1049cc was £1200 with a second car in this household and under my mums name which are discounts direct line give that was the best by like £300 too ..

Wish i could of had a GT as my first car .... I bet they wouldnt of even insured me

Iff they did i reckon it would of been close to 2K

i paid 1400 for my old gt FC ,with all mods declared at 17 ,not bad

1.8 8v mk3 golf at 21 when i passed my test cost £70 a month with my gf on there to drop costs

Now at 23 my valver is costing £650 fully comp but have £200 excess plus get shafted with a £250 manditory excess cos I'm under 25

On the plus side, average fine for no insurance is £300 ish, that is if your even caught!

NOTE - That last comment is just relaying facts recently published in national newspapers, i in no way condone driving without insurance!
