just bought a drivers side indicator, which is from a mk1 golf, but now i got home and looked it at. it looks like they screw onto the bumper differently?

are they the same or not?

i thought they were the same too! the mk2 golf small bumper ones are the same. most aftermarket ones claim to fit polo mk1,mk2 and mk1 and 2 golfs

I'm going to question my friend later tonight, and have a propper look at it tomorrow. although the vw dealer seemed to think it was the same. I'm not 100% now.

just for the record, mk1 golf indicators are the same as polo's it was my bumper that was wrong, somehow the plate where the indicator screws on has been pushed at a 90' angle
