back from the body shop...

Featured Replies

I took my car to the body shop to spray and fit my bumpers and buffer the car to remove all the light swirl marks that appear by normal washing, but after giving it a good clean under my garage lightning I noticed that on the roof and on the bonnet there are a lot of buffer marks which are like heavier swirl marks than before, and by night it almost looks like it's not clean!

I still have to go back to my bodyshop to tell him about this but till then can anybody please tell me what should I use, like turtle wax swirl remover to help with this problem, or the sprayer has still to carry out a smoother buffing?

It sounds to me like the guy has finidhed on to harsh a compound/polish. He needs to go down the grades of polish, much like you would with sandpaper, finishing on a high gloss polish.
