the story is, my boot lock has been broken into, and has been badly fixed. with some sort of silocone around it.

i was jsut wondering how much do you think it'd be roughly to smooth the boot? and also a boot respray.

and how much is a popper/solonoid thing? and does anyone reccomend any particular one?

diy it, wont be that hard or expensive. you could use a bonnet release catch off a scrap car to save on cash, smooth the lock off then spray the panel yourself, its not like red is a difficult colour to match

I'm handy with wood. but not cars.. i dont have any of the tools to smooth it. i'd be happy to give the spraying ago. but if i send it to get smoothed i mgiht aswell get it sprayed, my friend of a friend said he'll smooth and spray for 100.. any good?

cool, are these popper things easy to fit? i've never seen one on a car, so dont really know how they work
