Hey i been searching for renewals from all the big companies and they have been around the same price BUT

NO MODS

NO DRIVING OF OTHER CARS

But i rang HIC and they found me a great deal... they matched the price and allow £1500 worth of modifications (non-performance) all they need is a list of mods and prices for each...(over the phone)

They also allow upto 10 BHP performance increase.

They also allow driving of any other car 3rd party (and I'm only 23) most say i have to wait til I'm 25

They also include track day cover (but beware of the excesses for this)

I've got 5yrs no claims bonus (that may be 1 of the reasons the price is quite low) but even without the discount it should still be pretty good..

Before they gave me the quote they asked the best price I've receievd so far, i was genuine but if you feel like it you could bend the truth a bit so they match a REASONABLE price.

BUT what i found odd is they ask for MILEAGE READING. How odd i have never seen an insurance company ask for that, i guess as loads of people lie about their annual mileage, i always say 4000 but i know i go over some yrs...

Anyway I've accepted the quote and receieved all my paperwork, (make sure you ask for it by post otherwise they email all the docs) and everything is correct,

4000 miles? shit, i gotta stop commuting to work i quoted 14k p.a, and i think i've already beaten that to death 9 mnths in!

yeah I'm on limited mileage at 8k... that helps alot on insurance

but i think this year ill end up going over that so ill have to use my car less than I'd like to

Sounds like it would be cheaper to insure 2 cars on limited mileage with 2 diffrent companies than insuing one iff you commute miles to work ..
