Wheels originally off a BMW e30 318is, would they fit onto a mk2? Spotted a cheap set and they look pretty nice.

Pretty sure they are what I got, in which case yep, they go straight onto a Mk2.

May need slightly smaller tyres though...

My set cost me £16, going on a mates corsa C now though.

They are the 4x100 pcd ones arent they (if they are 4 stud, they fit)

according to the faq section on here they have the same centre bore

Another thing, The wheels I've seen have the balancing weights on the outside of the lip, can these be re-sited by a pro? Just I'd want to polish the lip up and theyd be mighty annoying.

yep! make sure you clean the back of the rims well that way you can use stick of wieghts, thus avoiding having unsightly ones on the front face of the rim

If I was you I'd take the wheels down to a tyre place, have them take the tyres, weights and valves out. Tidy up the wheels, clean them up (fronts, where the tyre sits and in the barrels) then get some decent tyres on them and make sure they put the weights on the inside!

I was thinking black spokey bits and a polished lip would look nice. Yeah some new tyres aswell because the ones on them are balloons and the guy said they're no good anyway. Cheers for the help guys

Find out how big the centre bit is where the M badge currently is. I might be able to sort you out with some cheap VW centres for them

I cannae afford tyres, so got a set of ATS classics (yea I'm boring) to go on the polo, these are going to go on my mates corsa c as i said ^, to make a nice change from all the stupidly huge spindly wolfrace twaddle that usually gets put on them, should look goood!

take them to buckley tyres !! they are excerlant with service and should help you out with the wieghts !!!

Cheers guys, I definately like the look of them. If I can get them Ill keep you updated. Got a holiday and need to get a phil j kit aswell next month so wheels may have to wait. The guy selling ended his auction early aswell for ansome reason so Ill keep an eye out, they pop up quite a lot.
