thinking of getting one on my boot of my mk2 saloon. just wondering how easy they are to install on them. as I'm going to be getting some ICE soon and the lock has already been broken into. :-) not since i've owned it

in short, no. or atleast thats the case with a breadvan, not seen the insides of a saloon. if you are adept at a bit of fabrication then there shouldnt be a problem, i have a remote central locking kit for a 4 door, so you could install the central locking and have the spare solenoid for a boot popper. fiver + postage if you are interested.

I fitted a boot popper to my mates mk4 fiesta and its been fine. If you go to the scrappy and look out for the higher spec'd mk5 fiestas, you'll get all you need. The solenoid and the proper switch too so it looks OEM. We done a proper job on his car and it works perfectly every time, saves him having to turn off the engine if someone needs something from the boot too.

cool, i have no idea on how to fit it, i found one of those little kits on ebay, but still.. not sure. its jut that its either pay £100 for it to be smoothed and repsrayed, or do a bit more work to it to get a lock to sit nice again.
