hi guys my electric passanger window doesnt work and its not any fuses etc so i was just wanting to know how i remove the door card, my car is a mk4 polo btw.

can anybody help?

ok lads i got it off without breaking it lol, well i dont know what the problem is. when i click the switch to move the window inside the door clicks like it is trying to do something but the glass doesnt move, could this be a duff motor?

I had the same problem. Basically ended up taking ther whole mechanism out, and it wasn't until I did this that I was able to see that the corners of one of the runner wheels (for the cable) were broken off, and this was causing the cable to jam whenever the up/down switch was pressed.

It looked as if somebody had been butchering at it previously, and the cable actually seemed to short to fit back onto the runners. So I tried a bit of butchery of my own to try and repair it, but ended up completely fucking it up.

Some reasons for your problem could be, the cable is not on the runners, or damaged components in the overall mechanism (runner wheels for example) are causing the cable to get jammed, it could also be that the clamps that hold your window in place have shifted out of place, so that the window cannot travel along the path that it's supposed to.

These are just some of the problems I encountered when trying to fix mine (it's still broken since I bought the car a year ago ), so I hope that they help to sort out your problem.
