Righto I have been advised to get some of the 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape

I have one of my rear arches rolled (to see if it helped when running my splits) and thus have a few rivet holes missing...

Will this stuff do the trick in securing it onto the car?

Also I am slightly concerned about it holding water - is there anything that can be done to aid this?

Someone mentioned some zinc foil?

Mine are still held on with rivets, but only the top part is rolled and the front ones are untouched.

If there's any slack, you can push the trim on so it's tight and drill an extra hole in the arch (cover it in lots of Hammerite of course) and you'd be surprised how well it stays.

It's just a shame, in my case, that one of my arches lost a rivet without me noticing. Then I hit a big patch of standing water on the M4 and about 3/4 of the trim snapped off. The extra rivet I used was still there though, so the remaining piece of trim was still firly attached to the bodywork.

Unfortunately for some bizarre reason the replacement trim doesn't sit flush against the bodywork, which is driving me beserk. The top bit is about 3-4mm away from the metalwork. I need to take it off and try reattaching it. Althogether, very gay.

I found using oversized rivets on the 2 lower holes is pretty much good enough to hold the arch in place. On the rear that is.

Only issue with gluing arches on, which is the issue I had on my mk2, is that once they are on that it. Takign them off and refitting is a bastard.

If your going to stick them on then use TigerSeal. But once that stuff on thats it.

Alex the reason yours is bowing out as you riveted in the wrong position. There is a slight amount of play in the holes, which is why they are square not round. Start at the top and work your way out. Sorry if I sound patronising.
