Right my polo is due for MOT in November so I'm going to take it in in October as once its MOT'd i might sell the beast.

Anyway I'm wondering if my car will pass the MOT due to its current modifications or will I have to take it back to standard for the MOT?

Just now its on a 1.4 Golf throttle body and the exhaust is a de-cat and at the weekend I'm gettin an after market exhaust mid section and back box.

Anyone else got similar mods but has passed an MOT?

decat shouldnt matter if the cars made before 1992 i think

Yeah the car just misses out on legally needing a cat but as standard it was fitted with a cat so thats why I'm a bit worried

unless your engines in a rough state (ie high emissions) it should be okay. as long as everythings safe and sound youl be alright

I have a 1.8 throttle body and no mid box but a CAT its high mileage .. The dude had to give it a good old rev to get it through the emisions test ..

Well the car runs sweet as a nut. When its cold you can almost see fumes coming out the back but when it heats up its fine and it doesnt smell very bad or anything so i hope ill be fine hehe.
