hi,hope someone can help.I've got a rumbling on the n/s front wheel. the bushes,track rods and wheel bearing are ok.its just had new strut top bushes and passed the mot. I've checked it over about four times now and cant seem to find anything.the car is a 1990 mk2 coupe and its great except for the rumble. hope someone can help as I'm new to polo's. thanks.

Still sounds like your front wheel bearing.

Bone-deep,and if you veer slightly to the left and right as you drive straight at speed,the tone of it should change. That'd be the front wheel bearing.

However,as the wheel has been off lately,check your front wheel bolts are tight..

hi, thanks for reply. think i may have found the problem this morning,the steering rack has a small amount of play on the n/s drag arm.when i say small you can hardly feel it,but when you move it the noise inside the car is very similar. I'm still going to check the bearing again though.
