Comments: Bought for £600 off ebay a few weeks back with 54k on the clock, service history and all old MOTs. Got a few plans for it but itll be staying pretty standard. Its really clean so I dont see the point in ruining it. I might drop it down about 40mm and get rid of the rubbing strips but thats about it, want to keep it pretty original.

All comments welcome :-D

Very nice and clean.

Personally, I like the rub strips, they split up the car.

The black looks really nice and dark. A good find.

Yeah I'm still undecided to be honest as to what to do. I had a load of ideas but the more I look at the car the less I want to do to it. I might keep it totally original yet.

Just a bit of an update. Car has been clean and standard since I bought it with the only mod being a red stripe grille. But car has now developed some rust right along the rubbing strip on the drivers side and also along the bottom of both doors. Plans are:

-get rid of the rubbing strips

-get rid of black vinyl on door pillars, around the rear window and behind rear plate

-get rid of all badges on rear apart from the Polo Coupe one

-60mm lowerage and some new rims

-get rid of Coupe GT stickers in windows :disgust: (not guilty, they were there when I bought it)

Nothing major really just a few touches to spruce it up a little. Hoping to get started this weekend, weather permitting, and I'll get pics up when I can.

i have summat pretty similar, altho mine has white arch trims and side skirts, i have to say i prefer yours. not sure if i'll paint mine black yet though.

get those hockenheims done in black or some G40 BBS RA's it'll look a picture. 60/40 kits suits these cars a treat, the black and white thing looks good, i say leave the black stuff on.
