mk3 polo gt front brake snatching

Featured Replies

Wondering if this is a common thing. Or do my brakes need looked at?

When driving in the wet the front passenger wheel locks up fairly easy when you hit the brakes.

Also when its wet the same wheel struggles to get traction.

Pads are fine as are the discs.

Help!

have you got cheap tyres.... ??

Cheapest in town.

Each corner has the cheapo's though, and no probs there.

But i will buy a decent tyre for that side and see if any improvement.

Thanks.

i wouldn't go and buy a different tyre for just one side, for starters its illegal to have non matching.

Tbh cheap tyres you get what you pay for.

No it isn't. It's illegal to have none matching sizes on the same axel tho.

righto, i thought that you had to have matching treads on axles as well . my bad

No, just tyre profile.

Should be illegal though, there's nothing worse than driving a car in the wet with mistmatched tyres...

Apart from driving a car in the wet with matching Nankangs.
