I had my front bumper number plate recess smoothed, I'm having a few issues where to put my plate

Just wanted a few ideas of where to put it, or how to mount it.

Cable ties through the vent?

Velcro seems to be everyones favourite.

yea I've cable tied it for now, but it just looks a bit tatty.

Hmmm might have to try velcro, doesnt it blow off if the wind gets under it?

Front window?

I'm blatantly going to get pulled every 5 minutes if its in the window. A few people i know have been pulled over more for having one in their window than not at all.

I'd suggest velcro aswell. But also it may be worth searching for 3M Dual Lock. Similar to velcro but it small plastic prongs that lock into eachother. We use it at my work for attaching sensors to the underside of cars. Beleive me it is very strong stuff. May be able to get you some if you cant buy any online. Drop me a PM or summin...

I could do with something strong so i can do away with the gay cable ties! Any chance you could get hold of some? Would see you right obviously.

I used double sided sticky foam, same thickness as selotape 20mm, lasts bloody ages and quite harde to get off

once on but it doesnt wreck the paint. Whe you pull it off it will leave the glue/tape behind and the foam rips

but its only a matter of rubbing it with some effort with your finger to ball it all up and peel off.

Get a sticky plate

link doesnt work mate but I'm sure CRAIGSPLATES sell sticky ones.

A note when ordereing, if you specify LEGAL PLATES you have to send documentaion to have the plates made but

if you request SHOW PLATES you dont have to and still order standard size one if nessessary.

DELETED, they only sell standard and jap import plates in self adhesive..

Non standard size ones arent legal either but i really think its down to the copper and your attitude,

i ran a 3x12 on my S14 for 8-10 months with no bother, and mates have stick on one on there S13s.

If you get caught, and they moan, apologise and say youll change it, but ita always good to keep a legal

one in your car with you.

front window will look good

ran my plate in the front window for a while....never got pulled.

even found a copper lookin at my car one nite on asda car park, asked him if everyting was ok..

he just said 'yea, i just didnt couldnt see your front plate from my van but now i can see youve got one, have a good nite' to which he toodles off bag 2 his van.

u were bloomin lucky then!

i dont wanna stick it really, i wanna be able to remove it for shows, but the velcro...idea I'm not convinced.

how did fishtoasty connect his.....it was on soe sort of bracket that he jus hooked off for shws etc.

could try pmin him but am not sure he uses the site anymore
