I agree.. I have 10 mm on the back and 3mm on the front and the whole car vibrates at 70mph.

I'm looking into hubcentric spacers as this tops the wheel wobble.

mine are hubcentric 1's and i have wheel wobble lol

the inner arch i take it?

what is the offset of the wheels?

wheel wobble is commonly caused by wheels being un balanced.

universal spacers are likely to cause a slight imbalance but nothing serious, hubcentric spacers wont however

Ahhh thats what it is then ! I always thaught i had a knackerd CV joint ..

My dash bounces up and down when i get to high speeds on the Motorway .. lol ..

other stuff can cause wheel wobble tho simmy...brakes are warped etc

how much should i be paying for the wheel spacers, wheres good to buy them from? so smaller spacers less shake?

unbalanced and untracked wheels can make handling a nightmare and wobbles at speed...

if you haven't had that done after messing about with your suspension geometry I'd get it done...

whether you have spacers or not on the car you shouldnt have wobbly steering unless you drive a shitron... period

no hubcentric spacers lesss shake compared to universal ones!

dependant on width venom motorsport have them priced at anything up to about 60-70pounds for a pair of spacers!

universal halford jobbies are about 10-15quid

longer wheel bolts will also need to be bought for a spacer larger then 3mm to give sufficient thread turns when bolting the wheel on

are the halfords universal spacers ok? and do they sell the bolts there that are required?

if i get wheel spacers, then the spacers will bring the wheel out further than the centre bore(?), because i had a garage telling me that i need wheel spacers, and also spigot rings, because the wheels are wobbling, so would i be better getting hubcentric spaces, and then spigot rings on the hubcentric spacers?

that link doesn't sem to be working, i have 5 mm universal ons on the front of my car to clear the locking collar on my coilovers, they do the job fine, i will be buying proper hubcentric ones for the rear however, as i want 15mm spacers.

what are the details of the wheels

bore

offset

size

width

it will help it make it easier for pppl to offer you advice :D

you will need spigot rings whatever if the bore size is wrong vw bore size is 57.1mm

iv got the spigot rings bought and ready, not bad for £6 for the 4.
