Problem with driving lights polo 1.4 98

Featured Replies

Have got a strange fault on my polo(1.4 -98). The driving lights stopped working and the parking lights are on all the time. The main lights are working fine with the main light switch in on position. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Hello,

1. Check fuses

2. Check bulbs

3. Check brake light switch (it's a funny little thing attached to the brake pedal)

The only way to switch of the parking ligts is to take out the belonging fuses, so the fault can not be there. The brake switch will not, if defect, affect the parking lights either. I think I will first start to check out the main light switch and secondly the ignition switch. There must be some kind of short-circuit in one of them...I think..

And it was the main light switch. A well-known fault with this type of car.

And a little message to the half-wit person I got the response from. Stay away from writing in a fora like this. You probabely do not know the difference between a car and a bicycle.

your the halfwit for posting on here in the first place

he told you to check 3 simple things which you hadnt stated you'd checked out, 'any feedback appreciated'...that was simple feedback you dumbass

doesnt look like you appreciated it much
