I'm painting the centres of my borbets a different colour. Whats a good way to do this?

At the moment I've sprayed one layer of primer on each, its not going to be a good job

because I'm too impatient to be a sprayer haha But how long do i leave the primer?

How many layers of primer? How long to dry? How many layers of colour? And then clear laquer?

the boyf recently sprayed my vw badge black, and he put about 4 coats of primer on that, left it a day, then 4 coats of paint. left it another day then 4 coats of laquer n left it another day.

I'm far too impatient aswell

i normally do a few coats of primer, then leave it a day, then a few coats of paint, then laquer if needed. i never bothered doin anythin more in depth on them if i gonna use them daily

Yeah i'll be doing it the pikey way so I'm not bothered about technique haha

Think i'll primer them all today and then put the colour on tommorow :-D

2 coats of primer and leave about 30 mins on a warm day flat back, paint 2 - 3 coats leave overnight if i was you, flat then clear coat :)

i can do the lot in an hour with my stuff :p

but i have heat lamps and heat guns :)

listen to that man. if his paint can stay on that polo when the bass is cranked, it must be good

Primer hardens in just a few hours. Paint,however,generally takes over a week.

Best to do a coat of primer every 15 mins for an hour,leave until the next day,then wet-flat it smooth. Thin coats of paint can then be applied the same,with optional laquer going straight over the untouched paint the next day. Wait over a week if you want to then polish the laquer (or the unlaquered paint) smooth with a compound. You only need laquer if its metallic paint or some of the alloy is bare (such as the rim).

I always end up with fingerprints in the paint coz I'm too impatient to wait 4 it to dry, i sprayed my standard wheels black, it doesnt look bad, its better than the greyish normal ones. lol
