g40 engine or breaking polo

Featured Replies

I have a VW Golf MK1 small block and I'm looking to put a G40 engine conversion in it.

I'm looking for everything needed for the conversion so idealy I'd like to buy the whole car....if not then ill need all the parts seperately

if any of you guys could give me some advice on the best place to source the parts and any common problems with the engine and maintaining it that would be great.

Thanks in advance

John

I'm Selling my (still incomplete) GT conversion. 165bhp, loads of fancy bits. just needs the earths replaced on the wiring loom or a new loom (bout £30 odd) and the exhaust connecting up (possibly a few more things, I've not looked at it in over 6 months so can't really remember). Car is still registered as a GT, also have the G40 logbook the engine came from (both registered SORN)- original G40 was scrapped about Dec last yr.

Car is a grey Hatch.

Quick sale needed as I'm saving for going to Australia!

You should have everything you need there I think (maybe need another engine mount welded on somewhere if it's going in a mk1 Golf iirc)

£1k

please ring/text or email if you're interested, I rarely come on the net nowadays.
