how do i go about fitting two amps, how would they turn on, would the remote cable need to be split and connected to both?

Yes.

i usually run the remote cable to one amp and then feed 2 wires onto the connector, using the 2nd wire to run to the 2nd amp.

Split the power using a 2-way fuse box (handy as well if you wish to turn part of the system off!) and run earth cables to the same earting point.

If you need to split RCA cables, then you'll need a pair of 1f/2m Y splitter cables.

Way more easier to run a single then split

If you can then run a 0AWG cable down to a Distribution block, which will split into 2 4AWG, that will insure goooooood power for a hefty install.
