Toxic TX-600N 600W Amp - £90

300W x 2 or 600W bridge mode (bridge in use)

Sony XSL121P5S 1200W PMPO Sub - £40

Alpine SXE-1750S Component Speakers - £35

Replaced factory fit fronts with these. Top frequency range is so much better now and they compliment the sub perfectly.

Sony NW-HD3 - £130

Sony 20GB MP3 player with line out

Sub box + wiring kit = £55

Total : £510

I like how it sounds and though the sub isn't the best, doesn't sound bad and is well suited to my rock heavy orientation taste in music.

Its ok, low end stuff. Could of got alot more for your money though. My system was £400 consists of 2nd hand alpine unit, retailed at about £500 new cant remember the number for the life of me, Spl dynamics coax's, JBL 1200.1 Sub amp and a pioneer 100Wrms sub, pretty midrange system, could do with amping the fronts and using comps, using a boxi built myself, wood and material cost £30 and everything installed by me.

Here's my setup:

Eight year old Sony CDX5000R head unit,

Four Sony Xplod 6x9s.

Thats it :)

It was my first install mind.

I like how it sounds anyway which - isn't that the main thing?

should go for jbl sub and amp they are the best low end stuff ;)

I run Alpine Type R stuff, its not really expensive, but they sound pretty decent with my amp. The 18cm components are really good, £90.

as long as you're happy then job done.

My 1st set-up was all kenwood which was cheap but it sounded good.
