BIG PROBLEM

Featured Replies

started out the lovely sunny day with the intention to fit my coilies!

after a little bother with the first and inexperience on my part, the front left was all adjusted and set up and fitted!

then to the second, one twist, the top bolt and thread are destroyed, so i got some advice from a mechanic in the road who said the best bet was to split or crack the nut so tried every way possible, then tried drilling the bolt out which failed and now after 8 hours I'm left with a wrecked bolt and thread, 1 finished coilover and one stressed out polo owner!

to add to the shit of the day, a bolt from the suspension arm managed to roll down the road and into a drain :-(:-(

my next move is to get a new bolt and try and get it too a garage, have toyed with the idea of jus cutting through the spring and the damper in order to get it off??

any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

ps. i realise I've been a idiot and clearly bit off more than i can chew and possibly made it worse! i wont di it again lol
